Kingswood Estates residents donate to the graciously to the American Red Cross.

Immediately following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the residents were called upon by Cathy DeYonker, David & Annette Elya to make a small donation. Our residents received a small yard flag placed in front of their mailbox in exchange for a donation. Dave, Annette & Cathy collected $1000.

All of the money was turned it over to our treasurer, Marsha Livermore. Marsha, who works at Ford Motor Company, contributed the money to the American Red Cross, via Ford's matching donor program.

What this means, is that the residents contributed $2000 for relief efforts! Congratulations neighbors on a job well done!

Also, to show our patriotism, the Kingswood Estates Board of Directors, have approved the purchase of a flagpole, which was placed at the front entrance. The 20 foot flagpole is installed and located at our front entrance boulevard. The 3 x 5 foot flag is illuminated at night for easy visibility into our subdivision. The cost of this flagpole was $284. If you would like to order a flag pole for your home, just call Dave Elya at 586-286-3283. He will forward the phone number of the flag pole company to you.
